Happy Women's History Month!
Here at SEKKIN, we're celebrating the remarkable achievements of women around the world and we're proud to honor our founder, Vanessa Hobeika.
In recognition of this special month, we sat down with Vanessa to explore her journey, inspiration, and vision for SEKKIN.
Q: Vanessa, what drove you to start SEKKIN?
Vanessa: "SEKKIN was born from my passion for travel, food, and the profound connections they foster. Growing up in Lebanon and exploring over 105 countries, I saw how food brings people together in ways nothing else can. From sharing meals in a stranger's home in Kampala to exploring the markets of Delhi, these experiences ignited my desire to create something meaningful. While working at Google, I noticed a gap in the market for affordable yet high-quality kitchen tools, leading to the inception of SEKKIN."
Q: What sets SEKKIN apart from other knife brands?
Vanessa: "At SEKKIN, we're committed to blending design, innovation, quality and inclusivity to redefine the kitchen experience. Our knives are crafted with precision and care, embodying both beauty and functionality. Beyond knives, SEKKIN is a vibrant community of food enthusiasts empowered to explore their culinary passions and create memorable experiences for themselves and their loved ones."
Q: What's your vision for SEKKIN's future?
Vanessa: "Our vision for SEKKIN is to transform cooking into a celebration of culture, diversity, and connection. We aim to innovate, expand our product range, and nurture our community. Our ultimate goal is to make high-quality kitchen tools accessible to everyone, inspiring people to create delicious meals and unforgettable memories in their own kitchens."
We hope you found Vanessa's journey as inspiring as we did. Join us in celebrating her vision, leadership, and unwavering commitment to culinary excellence this Women's History Month!
