I’ll start off by saying that I’ve fallen in love with this knife. It’s my daily driver when I cook, and I can’t help but be a little disappointed when I have to use any of my other knives.

As someone who is used to a western handle, I was excited to try an octagonal handle but nervous that I would find it difficult to use. Fortunately, this handle is extremely comfortable to hold, with a great weight balance across the entire knife, making the transition to this new style easy.

Additionally, the knife holds an edge incredibly well! I’ve had it for six months now and out of box it’s still cutting through delicate vegetables and thick skins no problem. On top of being so reliable, it just looks great. It is sleek, sturdy, and comfy, I really love it and expect to give Sekkin as a housewarming gift for years to come.

But more importantly, there’s heart here. Vanessa, the owner, has shown through her knives and her cooking/baking that she cares about the product and about the people. The knife is great, but the people who put themselves into the product make it fantastic.

I have no words. I'm so happy I got this set. I use these knives for literally everything I ended up throwing away all my other knives! they also look so beautiful on SEKKIN's gorgeous block.

I got the utility knife in April, and it has really changed how I cook. It ended my nightmare with Ikea knives, but I specifically enjoy the size of the utility knife and the clean and precise cuts I achieve with it.

Very easy to use for a wide range of sizes of ingredients, from chopping to slicing, or even cutting and trimming meats.

I work in a prep heavy kitchen, I’ve been looking for two smaller knives for my knife set so I got the beginners set since it had exactly that. The utility knife and pairing knife are fantastic. Razor sharp out of the box and they feel perfect in my hands. I love the long handle on the pairing knife I feel like I have more control when cutting fruits and other close to hand items. I’m definitely eyeballing the other knives SEKKIN offers I’m definitely tempted to buy more with the quality I’ve experienced thus far!

I love this knife block! It goes perfectly with my cherry cabinets and has plenty of room for all of my knives. Strong magnets allow you to attach knives to the front or back. Perfect addition to my kitchen and I can't wait to use it for years to come. Very high quality.

The 8” Sekkin knife was razor sharp out of the box and just glides through vegetables with almost no resistance. The balance between the blade and handle feels dialed in, so even longer chopping sessions are comfortable and controlled. The Japanese-inspired Damascus pattern and sleek handle give it a premium look that actually matches my existing kitchenware. After multiple uses it has held its edge impressively well so far. If the rest of the Sekkin knives perform anything like the first one, the whole set is a serious upgrade for my kitchen.

I use only top quality Japanese knives in my kitchen, and frankly I have more than enough! The little Sekin Walz paring knife caught my eye, so I bought one, and I have used it pretty much every day since it arrived! A very attractive tool, nicely finished, good steel, it is holding its edge, and a knife this small is so useful. And the price makes it outstanding value. Buy one, you will love it!!
