This knife cuts like a DREAM! Makes cutting through squash like butter. It's also gorgeous, and comfortable to handle (on my previous chef's knife, the top of the knife was too sharp and felt uncomfortable cutting heavy vegetables. This one is much more comfortable!)

I just recently got my first SEKKIN knife and it’s the only knife I use now. I was so surprised by how lightweight the knife felt given it’s made with so many layers of steel. It’s absolutely beautifully crafted and gets the job done every time

I remember the first time I had one of the Sekkin knives in my hand. I couldn't help but crack a smile, and I found myself laughing with joy as I cut an onion.

Never in my life did I ever think I would have such an enjoyable experience cutting a vegetable, yet there I was, giggling like a little kid who just got a new toy.

The best way to explain this is "seamlessly enjoyable." I didn't even realize there were things about cutting I didn't enjoy.

To me this was just a mundane task - cutting a vegetable. Once I used Sekkin, I realized I was doing it all wrong.

Upon first handle, I realized most knives don't have the right balance. it felt so easy to hold it, easy to grip... I felt I had less effort to cut something. It felt nice.

As I prepared to cut the onion, I expected to get a bit of resistance, naturally grimacing my face to prepare to face it. Yet I found myself maintaining the face without the resitance. It just fell through - i initially thought I missed the onion - yet there I was - Knife touching the board, onion cut in half, and it was done. My grimmace suddenly turned into a smile.. and I found myself excited to cut more.

There I was, finished cutting the onion, suddenly finding myself cutting an apple because I thought I wanted a snack... I really just wanted to cut something else.

Now I find myself excited to cut things, looking for a reason to use the knife, with a smile on my face as I do it. Sekkin was my gateway into this world and now I have a very high bar when it comes to cooking and cutting.

I’ve had my Sekkin chef’s knife for a couple of months now and it’s become my go-to knife for most kitchen tasks. As an enthusiastic, quite proficient home cook (if I do say so myself) I’ve been very impressed with how sharp the blade has stayed after months of daily use. It still easily/cleanly slices through a sheet of paper. It also looks incredibly beautiful displayed on my magnetic knife strip and feels great in the hand. Having cooked with some very expensive Japanese knives, I will definitely say that this knife is comparable quality at a much for affordable price. Amazing value!
